Lauren Sok, MPT
A native Pennsylvanian, Lauren obtained a Masters in Physical Therapy and a BS in Health Sciences from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia in 2000. Upon graduation, Lauren relocated to Atlanta and worked at various outpatient clinics throughout the Metro area.

Throughout her career, Lauren has taken rigorous Continuing Education courses that focused on diverse Manual Therapy techniques. She has worked alongside highly skilled mentors that have refined and broadened her Manual Therapy skills for fast, effective results. She is certified in Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), Trigger Point Dry Needling, Woman's Health, STOTT Pilates, and running analysis. This broad background allows for a comprehensive functional movement approach that's supplemented with her excellent Manual Therapy skills.
An avid recreational runner for over 20 years, Lauren has worked with runners of all levels and ages from the novice to highly competitive athlete.
Lauren's goal is provide solutions for your problems.  Her comprehensive, functional evaluation approach helps her identify the origin of the issue so that treatment can address the cause and not just the symptoms.  For example, sometimes back pain is the result of an old knee injury that was never rehabbed correctly. Or that failure to increase your running speed may be due to poor muscle control rather than a lack of flexibility in the legs.
Her motto is to "maximize your functional well-being", in other words you don't have to succumb to a life with running pain and limited function. She will perform a comprehensive evaluation of your musculoskeletal system, determine your deficiencies, and formulate a treatment plan including hands-on physical therapy care and exercises that are tailored to your functional deficits. No matter what your goals are, Lauren will find a way to get you back to pain free running as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Physical Therapy services can be provided remotely by e-mail, telephone, or video phone call, and locally (Atlanta, GA area) through e-mail, telephone and one on one contact.
